National News: A heartbreaking incident has come to light from the Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu, where a debt-ridden farmer killed his three innocent daughters and then committed suicide. This tragic incident took place on Monday night, which the police were informed of on Tuesday. This incident has stunned the entire area.

The 36-year-old farmer, who lived with his family in Rasipuram taluk, had a debt of about Rs 13.5 lakh. Financial crisis and debt pressure forced him to take this horrific step. The accused's wife and younger son were in another room when this horrific incident took place.

3 innocent daughters murdered with a sickle

According to the police, on Monday night when the three daughters were sleeping, the father slit their throats with a sickle. The incident was so brutal that on hearing the screams, the wife kept trying to enter the room, but she could not succeed. This painful incident happened in front of her.

He himself swallowed the poison

After killing his daughters, the accused farmer committed suicide by consuming pesticide. The next day, the police came to know about the incident and immediately reached the spot and took possession of all four bodies and sent them to the government hospital for post-mortem. Police investigation has revealed that the farmer had taken a huge loan to build a house. He had also borrowed money from many women's self-help groups and cooperative societies in the name of his mother and sister, which he was unable to repay. The increasing financial pressure was taking a toll on his mental health.

Wife and son narrowly escaped

At the time of the incident, the farmer's wife and one-year-old son were in another room, which saved their lives. But they are still in shock. Police said that the wife said that her husband was under constant pressure to repay the loan and he had become very upset for the last few weeks. Police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further investigation is underway. Police officials said that considering the seriousness of the case, the investigation is being done from every angle.
